MFG EV Power business installs 1,000 ultra-rapid bays

Forecourt operator Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has announced its EV Power charging business has passed 1,000 ultra-rapid EV charging bays across its network.

The installations have been achieved four years after the firm began its investment in EV charging with it now representing around 12% of the UK’s total ultra-rapid charging network

It began the roll-out of EV Power in 2021, and plans to install a total of around 3,000 ultra-rapid 150kW, 300kW and 400kW EV chargers across approximately 500 sites by the end of 2030 through £400m investment.

By 2035, MFG plans to complete its EV roll out to all suitable remaining locations in its network, including the Morrisons supermarket estate, where it is installing hubs on 300 car parks for the grocery chain.

It follows its acquisition of 337 Morrisons petrol forecourts in April last year, and comes with plans to install 66 ultra-
rapid EV charging bays on Morrisons supermarkets with 150 bays to follow in next 3 months. Read More
