Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician 

Location: Crook, County Durham, DL15 

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + benefits 

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent 

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 5.30pm – no weekends! 

The Company 

Our client is one of the leading independent garages in County Durham, conveniently located just outside of Crook. They are a modern, well-equipped workshop with an excellent reputation for expert diagnostics, reliable workmanship, and outstanding customer service. 

The business specialises in German vehicles but is also happy to work on cars, vans, and motorhomes of most other makes. They provide a full range of services including repairs, MOTs, and dealer-level servicing, including work on EVs and hybrid vehicles. 

The Role 

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join their team. This role would suit a technician who is confident carrying out diagnostics and enjoys working in a professional independent garage environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair 

• Carrying out vehicle diagnostics and fault finding 

• Working on cars, vans, motorhomes, EVs, and hybrids 

• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard 

Candidate Requirements 

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair 

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician 

• Strong diagnostic experience 

• Full and valid UK driving licence
