Job Title: MET Technician – Accident Repair Bodyshop

Location: Near Halstead, Kent, TN14 (Equal distance between Orpington and Sevenoaks)

Salary: Up to £50,000 (depending on experience and qualifications) + overtime

Our client is an independent Accident Repair Bodyshop with state of the art facilities.

Their bodyshop is based near Halstead in Kent and their bodyshop is equidistant between Orpington and Sevenoaks.

Are you an experienced MET Technician looking to join a forward‑thinking, independent accident repair bodyshop. We’re looking for a skilled professional to join our clients team and work within their state‑of‑the‑art repair facility, equipped with the latest tools, technology, and manufacturer‑approved equipment.

About the Role

As an MET Technician, you will play a vital role in the repair process, carrying out mechanical, electrical, and trim removal and replacement to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with our clients bodyshop team to ensure every vehicle is restored with precision, safety, and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Strip and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components to manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues as part of the repair process
• Work efficiently to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards
• Collaborate with painters, panel technicians, and estimators
• Maintain accurate documentation of work carried out

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a MET, Strip & Fit, or Bodyshop Technician
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) preferred but not essential
