Job Title: Fuel Forecourt and Workshop Manager

Salary: Up to £15,000 per annum

Location: Ponteland, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE20 9TN

Role is Part Time – 23.5 hours a week.

Role will be working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays, between the hours of 8.30am – 5.30pm (so either 5 or 6 hour shifts each day)

Our client is a family-owned well respected independent garage that has been trading over 80 years by 3 generations of the same family.

Our client are a class 4 MOT station and perform a wide variety of services and repairs on a range of vehicles.

They are now actively looking to recruit for a Fuel Forecourt and Workshop Manager for their garage in Ponteland.

As a Fuel Forecourt and Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Diary management, invoice preparation and estimates, ordering parts and liaising with customers.
  • Supervise and prioritise workload throughout the workshop ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency levels are reached.
  • Continuously improve processes to improve the experience for our customers and efficiency and effectiveness of the business.
  • Manage and drive reduction of costs in garage e.g. scheduled review of suppliers/utilities/ways of working etc.
  • Support the production of the business accounts e.g. input on Sage, production of accounts.
  • Provide regular management reporting and action plan
  • Supervise staff including performance reviews and any required disciplinary processes and actions. Assist with recruitment.
  • Provide training and support to staff members when required.
  • Maintain a quality management system. This includes health and safety management and the MOT documentation requirements.
  • Ensure all staff continue to follow health and safety regulations and follow safe working practices.
  • Provide continuous feedback to employees.
  • Continuously act to encourage new business into the workshop.

  • Proven ability to support and develop other members of staff
