Pybus Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading accident repair organisation for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to join their successful and growing site in Hampton.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven Bodyshop Manager, General Manager, Production Manager or Workshop Manager looking to take ownership of a busy, high-performing accident repair centre. You’ll be responsible for leading the entire operation, driving performance, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and ensuring profitability across the site.

The Role

As Bodyshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the repair centre, ensuring productivity targets, customer satisfaction levels and financial objectives are consistently achieved.

You will lead from the front, developing a high-performing team while maintaining operational excellence across all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the Bodyshop operation.
• Drive site performance against key KPIs, productivity targets and profitability goals.
• Ensure effective workshop loading and capacity planning to maximise throughput.
• Monitor workflow efficiency and manage daily production activities.
• Review performance metrics regularly and implement improvements where required.
• Ensure customer service standards and SLAs are achieved consistently.
• Handle escalated customer issues and complaints through to successful resolution.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources and financial performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
• Support employee engagement, retention and team development initiatives.
• Work closely with the People team on recruitment and workforce planning.
• Oversee apprentice development and progression.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and environmental regulations.
• Maintain audit standards and support BSI accreditation requirements.
• Provide support to other group sites when required.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Previous experience managing a busy accident repair centre or Bodyshop operation
• Strong knowledge of the automotive accident repair industry
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams
• A strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and profitability
• Knowledge of BSI standards, compliance requirements and operational best practices
• Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills
• The ability to drive performance whilst maintaining quality standards
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes, legislation and industry standards
