Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician (Gearbox Specialist) – 4 day week

Location: Killingworth, Newcastle, NE12 5US

Salary: £40,000 + bonus – OTE £45,000

Full Time and Permanent – 4 Day week which rotates Monday to Friday

4 days – 10 hours per day

Working hours – 7.00am-5.30pm

NO WEEKENDS and a 4 day week!

Our client is an independent motor repair business that specialises in gearbox repairs, they have been established since 1971.

The role is working 4 days on a rota basis between Monday to Friday only, so NO WEEKENDS!

They are now actively looking to recruit a Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic for their garage in Killingworth.

The Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic will play a vital role within the business, you will be comfortable conducting vehicle repairs to book times and be capable of performing any additional repairs as required. You will deliver a high standard of work, excellent time keeping and productivity.

The role will involve the following:

• Carrying out testing and diagnostics
• Removing and installing both Automatic and manual gearboxes
• Transmission and Drive line system repairs
• General Vehicle Maintenance

Skills Required:

• At least 5 years experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
• Ideally qualified to Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance
• Experience working on Gearboxes, transmissions and Drive Line Systems
• Full and Valid UK driving licence
