Gender pay gap has shrunk by a quarter since 2015

The gender pay gap has narrowed significantly over the past decade, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics.

In April 2025, the median hourly pay gap between men and women stood at 6.9%, down from 7.1% in 2024 (revised up slightly from the provisional figure of 7.0%). Men earned more than women in full-time employment across all occupational groups. Read more
