Service Advisor

Location: Grays, Essex (RM17) Salary: £29,000 – £38,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time

Pybus Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor on behalf of a well-established independent automotive service and repair business based in Grays, Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and successful operation where customer service is at the heart of everything they do. Working within a close-knit and supportive team, you will be responsible for managing customer interactions throughout the servicing and repair process, ensuring a first-class customer experience from start to finish.

In addition to traditional Service Advisor responsibilities, you will also support the company’s vehicle rental operation, maintaining strong relationships with rental customers and ensuring all associated administration and documentation is completed accurately.

The successful candidate will be energetic, highly organised, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary point of contact for customers regarding vehicle servicing and repairs
• Managing customer enquiries and providing regular progress updates
• Coordinating workshop schedules and liaising with technicians
• Preparing repair orders, estimates, and service documentation
• Supporting the administration and customer service requirements of the vehicle rental fleet
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company procedures
• Delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term customer relationships

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor is essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Good mechanical awareness and understanding of vehicles and automotive parts
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work towards and achieve performance targets
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
• Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record
