Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

HKO Autos is a busy and growing accident repair centre committed to delivering high-quality vehicle repairs and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking an experienced MET Technician to join our professional workshop team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual looking to develop their career within a modern and fast-paced bodyshop environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are repaired efficiently and returned to pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on a variety of vehicles.
  • Diagnose and identify damaged components requiring repair or replacement.
  • Carry out strip and fit operations in line with manufacturer repair methods.
  • Remove and refit bumpers, dashboards, lighting systems, steering and suspension components.
  • Carry out vehicle diagnostics and system resets where required.
  • Ensure all electrical systems, safety features and components function correctly following repair.
  • Assist with vehicle assessments and damage identification.
  • Work closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and Workshop Controllers to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience as an MET Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding techniques.
  • Ability to work to manufacturer repair methods and industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.

Desirable

  • IMI, ATA or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair or equivalent.
  • Experience working within a BS10125-approved repair environment.
  • ADAS calibration experience.
  • Hybrid and electric vehicle awareness or qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
