Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 5:00pm

Pybus Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Suspension & Steering Technician to join a well-established and growing automotive repair business.

The Role

As a Vehicle Suspension & Steering Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining suspension and steering systems across a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Working within a busy workshop environment, you will ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards.

This role is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and enjoys working in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose suspension and steering faults using diagnostic equipment and road testing.
• Repair or replace damaged suspension components including shock absorbers, struts, control arms, bushes, and associated parts.
• Carry out wheel alignments to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair steering systems, including racks, pumps, and linkages.
• Complete routine maintenance and adjustments to suspension and steering assemblies.
• Conduct road tests and final quality inspections to ensure repairs have been successfully completed.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they remain safe and fit for purpose.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
• Work efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets.

Requirements

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Suspension & Steering Specialist.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent understanding of suspension, steering, and vehicle geometry systems.
• Knowledge of ADAS technologies and modern vehicle systems.
• Experience working with Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive, proactive approach and the ability to perform well in a busy workshop environment.
