Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours per week)

Join a Busy and Established Accident Repair Centre

Our client is looking for an experienced MET Technician to join their established accident repair team in Weston-super-Mare. Based at one of their two local bodyshops, you’ll be working alongside three experienced technicians, carrying out high-quality repairs on a range of vehicles, predominantly insurance-related work.

This is an excellent opportunity for an MET Technician seeking a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with early finishes, a supportive team environment, and long-term career security.

The Role

As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for the efficient stripping, repairing, and reassembly of vehicles to manufacturer and insurance standards.

This is a predominantly MET-focused role, with around 80% of duties involving mechanical, electrical and trim work.

Key Responsibilities
Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components
Carry out vehicle strip and fit operations efficiently and accurately
Identify additional damage and repair requirements
Ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer and insurance standards
Work closely with colleagues across the bodyshop to ensure vehicles are repaired on time
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:

Previous experience as an MET Technician within a bodyshop environment
Strong stripping and refitting skills
Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
ATA accreditation (advantageous but not essential)
Has Done Panel Beating before (Not essential)
