Low Pay Commission highlights pressures on employers

The Low Pay Commission (LPC) has highlighted growing signs of labour market weakness and unexpected pressures on employers as it published the analysis behind its October 2025 recommendations for minimum wage rates. 

To reach its recommendations, the LPC assessed wider economic conditions, living costs and progress towards the government’s target of setting the National Living Wage at two‑thirds of median hourly earnings for workers aged 21 and over. Read More
