I've worked in the automotive industry for 30 years at Reg Vardy, Benfield, Lookers and Fleet Alliance. Most of that was with Colin, as both colleagues and friends. My roles relied on building high performing teams of great people. So I've interviewed, recruited and worked with literally thousands of talented people, and met thousands more at manufacturer meetings and industry events. Our sector is blessed to attract some really talented people, with strong characters and a great sense of humour! So I'm delighted to now be in a role where I can reconnect with old friends, meet lots of interesting new people and help them fulfil their career ambitions.
I have worked in Automotive for more than 30 years at Reg Vardy/Pendragon and Benfield/Lookers, the last 10 years have been in senior roles representing some iconic brands. One of my key goals over the last 10 years has been to build high performing teams with great culture with strong succession plans, where we couldn’t ’grow own own’ recruitment was imperative, with this in mind I feel in a strong position to support both client and candidates to enable a great fit.

Having carried out a number of senior roles, I know the importance of effective recruitment and I set up Pybus Recruitment to break the traditional recruitment model. We now have an organisation that supports both the client and candidate in equal measure to find the perfect fit and to grow relationships over time. Outside of work I enjoy a round of golf, watching football and travelling - with the odd beer.
I graduated from Staffordshire University with a Marketing Degree in 2001 and spent a year travelling around New Zealand, Australia, USA, Fiji and South East Asia, before starting my career in recruitment in 2003. After nearly 19 years with the same company, I decided I was ready for a new challenge, and I joined Pybus Recruitment in March 2022. I have a wealth of knowledge and I am passionate about helping match the right candidate to the right job for both our candidates and clients. Outside of work I enjoy watching football, as a long-suffering Ipswich Town supporter.
My job as a Recruitment Business Manager for Pybus Recruitment is to provide world class service to both client and candidate assuring that relationships are built and success is created. In my spare time I love spending my time with my son, I am an avid sports fan in particular watching and attending Football and Boxing. On a weekend you can find my all over the North East as a Durham F.A Level 6 Referee.
As a Recruitment consultant at Pybus Recruitment, I am responsible for supporting both the client and candidate in equal measure to find the perfect fit for both parties and to grow these relationships over time. Having worked in this field before, I know the importance of effective recruitment, as well as how to support my team in any way I can to ensure the success and growth of the company. Outside of work, I am a fervent Sunderland AFC fan and season ticket holder, enjoying the odd beer, travelling and attempting to play golf.

I have 2 children and been married for 2 years, in my spare time, I love watching my son play football. I also have a trading card hobby and love a bit of mountain biking.
As Finance Controller at Pybus Recruitment, I lead the daily operations of the Finance and HR functions, driving efficiency, compliance, and long-term sustainability. Partnering closely with the team, I provide financial insight and support that underpins the company’s growth and resilience. Outside of work, I’m passionate about cooking and discovering global cuisines, and I find balance through yoga practice, walking, reading, and travelling—activities that help me recharge and stay inspired.
