Bodyshop Estimator / Workshop Controller

Job Title: Bodyshop Estimator / Workshop Controller​

Location: Five Oaks Billinghurst, RH14 9AZ​

Salary: Up to £35,000 basic salary (depending on experience) + bonus – OTE £40,000+​

Full Time and Permanent – role will working Monday to Friday 8.00am-6.00pm, there will be a requirement to work an occasional Saturday but this is very rare​

Our client is an automotive retailer representing prestigious car Brands, they have a total of 30 businesses providing sales, service and accident repair services across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire.

Established since 1931, they are a successful and progressive third generation family owned business.

They are now actively looking to recruit for a Bodyshop Estimator (VDA) / Workshop Controller for their Bodyshop in Five Oaks, Billinghurst.

Requirements

This job holder must have knowledge of:

• Automotive systems (e.g. basic vehicle layout, function and location of parts).
• Parts requirements to complete job, the ability to communicate parts requirements via repair orders
• Awareness of the Networks and understanding of the brands
• Detailed knowledge of insurers specific requirements and policies
• Understanding of repair methods, parts and costs
• Appropriate customer handling skills
• Automotive systems (e.g. understanding of basic vehicle layout, function and location of parts)
• COSHH legislation and trade practices
• In-house computer systems (e.g. Glass evaluator, Audatex, Photo processing software, Escribe, ADP and outlook)
• Vehicle legislation
• Manufacturer standards and objectives. Retail facility and personal objectives, both cultural and financial
• The retails facility organisational structure
• Warranties and repair

And be able to:

• Pay attention to detail, ensuring documentation is clear and legible
• Work with external customers, internal colleagues and insurers
• Work both in a team and individually, manage own time, work in a busy, and active environment
• Demonstrate a professional appearance and enthusiastic attitude

Candidate must have a full and valid driving licence. Ideal candidates will have some experience in Bodyshop Estimating / Vehicle Damage Assessing.
